Fun At The Governor General's

On Saturday we went to the Governor General's for a Winter fun day. I loved it! Here are some pictures to show you what we did.

The dark fur around her hood is wolverine and the light fur is wolf. It is so soft!

I can't wait for the ride to start!

My mom was a 'musher' on the sled behind us. I think she was a little too excited!

It was so cool and exciting! That's my mom controlling the sled behind ours.

The dogs are very beautiful but definitely not pets!!

Our team won the race! We are a team of 8 people on one set of skis. The Norwegian embassy brought them.

This is when we were getting instructions on how to ski with so many people.

This is my sister, Mika, and my dad.
here we're practicing our left and right

TEAMWORK!!

Mika cheering for her team!

Such a fun day!

At the Embassy of the Netherlands, where my Oma is from, we had delicious pea soup. I LOVE SOUP!

We also ate taffy on snow. It sticked all over my clothes.

The hot chocolate with marshmallows warmed me up.

We also tried Kicksledding. We don't have any pictures of us doing it but it looks like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kicksled

My parents also tried the shooting part of a Biathlon. My mom needed 5 shots to hit 5 targets but my dad needed 6.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biathlon

Story: The Bottle

One day I was swimming. Margo said "Let's have a race to the bottom.". When I got to the bottom I saw this bottle, it was shiny. I showed it to Margo. I said let's drink it. In the bottle was a note. It said "you will have lots of friends". So we drank it and, poof, Virginia appeared. Margo and me were so happy to see Virginia. Margo had bright cheeks and a big smile. It makes you have more friends! Virginia wanted to drink some too. After she drank some we had a pool party. All of the friends we wanted were there and we had so much fun until...

We all went home but when I went home, I drank the special potion but the only thing was that it had a different note attached to it. This one said "something that you really want will come to you". Well I really wanted a horse so I drank the potion. Then when the potion was almost done I looked out my window and saw a beautiful horse running around in my backyard.

When I got to school I told Margo and Virginia that every time you drink it, it has a different note. This time the note said "what you are going to do in the future". So they came over to my house and they drank some and it reminded them of what they are going to do in the future. Margo's said "you are going to be a witch for halloween". Virginia's said "when you have your birthday, your mom is going to get you a dog". Mine said "you will win a gold medal at the Olympics for horse jumping". After we knew our futures we decided to hide the magic bottle. We took the magic bottle and hid it up in a tree. We then promised to keep the magic bottle and where it was hidden a secret for the rest of our lives.
